Washington School is proud to be part of the excellent educational system that the City of Summit provides for its students. A competent, caring and committed staff ensures that each child gets what he/she needs to achieve academic excellence. We strive to provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum that includes literature-based language strategies, process writing, manipulative math experiences and hands-on science and computer instruction. Our diverse population provides us with wonderful opportunities to learn about many different cultures and traditions while our
annual schoolwide theme gives us a chance to work together on a common topic.
A dedicated Parent Teacher Association is responsible for many of the activities listed below. In addition, parent volunteers help us in the library, on the playground and in the classrooms.
